Ripper Update 0.3.0
Welcome, dear body fluid greasers!

We have come forth to give you a report on our second update to the game. Ripper is now on game version 0.3.0-SEA (Steam Early Access).
We have not made any major changes to the main gameplay. We are currently trying to polish and optimize the game, so it's playable and easier to get into, before adding any major new feature.
What Is New:
Menus revamp
Almost all user interface in game was reworked to a new design. From layout changes, appearance, readability to navigation, we tackled them all.
Just take a look at the new main menu:

The redesign has also affected the Ripper website.
Controller support
While working on all the menus, we have also thought about: how to make them more accessible to players on controllers. In certain menus, you might notice a new bar at the top where you can change the menu sub-page.
We have also added virtual keyboard and slider value input, so you can now configure everything via controller.

Steam Input now supports scrolling and all the new inputs. Known issue: We are aware of some strange issues on Linux (specifically Wayland) where Steam does not correctly recognize that the game window is in focus. Just Alt-Tab to another window, and back, that should fix it...
Discord & Steam RPC
Your friends now will be able to see whether you are playing with friends or hosting a lobby.
Technical Changes:
TextRendererchanges- Using draw calls instead of using Godot nodes
- Some minor layout changes
- Fixes to inheriting formatting
- The default text color now can be changed
TabBarshave been replaced by customChipOptions- Tooltips are now showing on focused nodes when on controller
- Menu background is now a separate component (
WorldDummy) - New global events:
interface.language_changedinterface.menu_view_changed- when the current menu has changed or all menus were closed
state.changed- state changed between in-menus and in-game
state.presence- new data is available for rich presence
- Steam Input is enabled by default in settings
A Wrap
That's everything we have to report. You may now continue on your gruesome activities.
